Founded in 1857 in Sonoma, Buena Vista is California's first premium winery. Count Agoston Haraszthy, founder of Buena Vista, saw in Sonoma one of the great wine growing regions of the world. He laid the foundation for California viticulture when he brought thousands of premium grape wines from Europe.
